Dr Sema Yilmaz

Sema studied Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, graduating in 1988, then moved to the Bellarine Peninsula where she completed 3 years of residency at Geelong Hospital, including obstetrics training. After a break of 9 months, cycling around Europe, she started a further 3 years training in Rural General Practice with the RACGP.
After General Practice in the UK as well as all over Victoria, including Drysdale, Birchip, Horsham, Castlemaine, Corryong, Benalla, she chose Bairnsdale as the best place to settle and raise her children. She has worked as a partner at BMG since 1999, and full time since 2011.
She loves the variety and challenges of rural general practice and has a special interest in Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Paediatrics.
When not working, she enjoys travelling, walking, skiing and badminton.
