Dr Stacey Smith

MBBS

Stacey studied medicine at Deakin University, Geelong and graduated in 2018. She has a passion for rural health and as a Gippsland local, has completed most of her post-graduate training in the area. Stacey has had a long journey to get to GP training, entering medicine later in life, after a career in science and health management, and raising kids along the way.

Stacey has an interest in paediatrics, women’s health, chronic disease and palliative care, and will undertake further training in paediatrics this year. She is a strong advocate for rural health and preventative medicine.

During her time off Stacey enjoys spending time with her family, chasing the kids around and enjoying everything Gippsland has to offer – particularly skiing on the Gippsland Lakes, attempting to snowboard up on the mountains or enjoying some great local foods! She looks forward to making connections with the community and together improving the health of Gippslanders.
