BMedSci (Hons), MBBS, GradDipBusMgt, SCHP, FRACGP

Dr Stacey Smith graduated from Deakin University in Geelong in 2018 and is proud to call Gippsland home. She has a genuine passion for rural medicine and has completed most of her postgraduate training locally. Stacey came to medicine later in life, following a career in science and health management while raising her family — an experience that has shaped her compassionate, down-to-earth approach to patient care.
Stacey has a strong interest in women’s health and is currently upskilling in obstetrics. She also has a special interest in menopause management and is a member of the Australasian Menopause Society (AMS). Stacey has completed additional paediatric training through the Sydney Child Health Program and enjoys caring for patients across all stages of life. She is a strong advocate for preventative medicine and rural health, and has a particular interest in paediatrics, chronic disease management and palliative care.
Outside of work, Stacey loves spending time with her family, keeping up with the kids, and making the most of everything Gippsland has to offer — especially skiing on the Gippsland Lakes, attempting to snowboard in the mountains, and enjoying the region’s amazing local food. Stacey looks forward to building strong connections within the community and working alongside patients to improve the health and wellbeing of Gippslanders.
